Hundreds of Alaskans begin competition at NYO Games in Anchorage

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The 2025 Native Youth Olympics began Thursday at the Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage. Hundreds of athletes from across the state will compete for medals in 11 different events.
The toe-kick, back after a 10-year hiatus, started just after the noon hour on Thursday, following a short welcoming ceremony.
Ahead of the Games, athletes from Dillingham stopped by Alaska’s News Source to demonstrate some traditional games with Sports Director Jordan Rodenberger. Watched the video above for the full story.
