Weather Lab: Dimond High students go behind the scenes

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) — A group of environmental science and math students from Dimond High School joined Chief Meteorologist Melissa Frey at the news station Wednesday to see what goes on behind the scenes to forecast and deliver the weather.

They took turns on the green screen, and as they toured the building, they also got a closer look at the wide variety of jobs at Alaska’s News Source and all the tools and equipment it takes to run the station.

The Dimond High School academies program is helping students explore different career opportunities in our community.
