Earthquake felt across much of Southcentral
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The Alaska Earthquake Center reported a Magnitude 4.4 earthquake, registered originally as M4.3, 28 miles east of Mount Spurr, Friday evening at 11:18.
The quake was just over 51 miles deep. The epicenter was located 43 miles north of Kenai and 52 miles west of Anchorage.
More than 1,200 people told the USGS that they had felt the earthquake in the 90 minutes following the quake. There are no reports of any damage or injuries from the quake.
The National Tsunami Warning Center issued a statement saying there is no tsunami threat from this quake.
