ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Country singer Dwight Yoakam will be performing at the Alaska State Fair this August as part of the 2025 ConocoPhillips Alaska Concert Series.
His show is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 31, at 6 p.m. as part of the 2025 ConocoPhillips Alaska Concert Series.

Yoakam is best known for his popular songs like “A Thousand Miles from Nowhere,” “Fast as You,” “Little Sister,” “Honky Tonk Man” and “Streets of Bakersfield” — his iconic duet with Buck Owens. He has earned 21 Grammy nominations and multiple wins.
Yoakam helped revive classic Bakersfield twang for a new generation, infusing it with a rock ‘n’ roll spirit all his own and is now known as a pioneer of “California Country.”
