FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTUU) - Nestled between Fairbanks and the Brooks Mountain Range is the Yukon River Camp, a one-stop shop that provides essential services to those traveling along the Dalton Highway.
From truckers to tourists, the destination at Mile Post 56 is a popular spot and stop for food, lodging, and communication, as the area is without public cell phone service or internet access.
With the motto, “Comfort and convenience on the Dalton Highway”, it is also one of only two places to fill up on fuel along the more than 400-mile highway that stretches up to Prudhoe Bay.
As a major public access point connecting people to the 2,000 miles of the mighty Yukon River, adventure is always nearby.
