ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Repairs in Homer are underway after high surf eroded a section of Homer Spit Road on Nov. 16 and 17, according to the Alaska Department of Transportation.
Thursday evening, the department said work would continue Friday. Flaggers would be working with a temporary single-lane closure and there would be reduced speeds.
DOT said repair of the Homer Spit rock wall is expected to take about three weeks. Work is scheduled to resume on Dec. 2.
