ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The Chugiak High School choirs got to put on a once-in-a-lifetime performance Thursday more than 3,000 miles away from home.

The Anchorage School District says the students delivered a “powerful and heartfelt” performance of the Star-Spangled Banner at the historic Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, for the Boston Red Sox game against the Seattle Mariners.

Directed by Choral Director Ashley Easton, the group rehearsed all day and delivered their performance surrounded by over 35,000 people.

The school district also says this performance highlights the remarkable talent emerging from arts programs in Alaska schools.
