MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) - An escaped zebra briefly caused a busy interstate to shut down in Tennessee on Saturday.

The pet zebra was running through traffic and “wreaking havoc” on Interstate 24 near Joe B. Jackson Parkway, according to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.

The interstate was reopened after the zebra ran into the woods.

The zebra’s owners had it for two days before it escaped.

The zebra is still on the loose, according to authorities.
