ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Alaska’s two largest school districts are closed Tuesday due to inclement weather and icy road conditions, according to official district communications.

By 5 a.m. Tuesday, both the Anchorage School District and Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District said they would be closed for the day.

Keep in mind that ASD and MSBSD have both gone away from using remote learning days.

ASD says, unless otherwise announced, schools will be open on Wednesday.

MSBSD noted icy side roads, sidewalks and parking lots, and said a plan for after-school activities will be made public by noon.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Lumen Christi are also closed Tuesday due to the weather conditions.
