Seattle Kraken games to air in Anchorage and Juneau for free on MyNetworkTV
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU-TV) — For the first time since the NHL team hit the ice, Seattle Kraken games will air for free to over-the-air viewers in Anchorage and Juneau.
Beginning with Seattle’s season opener on Tuesday, Oct. 8, Alaska-based fans can tune in over the air to MyNetworkTV on Channel 5.4 (KAUU in Anchorage/KYEX Subchannel in Juneau) to catch the action. Approximately 70 regular season games will air.
“Gray’s stations and the Kraken are both a key part of the culture in the Pacific Northwest, making this a great win for viewers and fans,” said Sandy Breland, Gray Media’s chief operating officer, in a press release distributed Friday.
The broadcasts are part of a partnership between KTUU’s parent company, Gray Media Tegna and the Seattle Kraken.
The Kraken enter their fourth season with a combined record of 107 wins, 112 losses and 27 overtime/shootout losses.
