Peggy McCormack
Photojournalist/Editor
Anchorage, Alaska

Peggy was born in and grew up in the remote city of Nome, Alaska. Wanting to see more of the world than The Last Frontier, she attended Colorado State University for her first two years of college, then transferred to the University of Alaska Anchorage where she finished her degree in Journalism and Public Communications in 1996.
While she working on her degree, KTUU hired Peggy as a Chyron operator in March 1992. Since then, she has done nearly every job behind the camera, from tape operator to technical director, from studio camera operator to fill-in producer, and is currently a photojournalist. During her off hours, Peggy enjoys various hobbies, but most of all, spending time with her family exploring Alaska, hiking, picking berries, or even just a quiet evening at home.
